Available in-house and online
A practical, customised resource-rich experiential learning program for managers, team leaders and supervisors. This program can be tailored to suit newer or more experienced managers and those moving into leadership roles.
It is recognised that in reality, especially for mid-sized businesses, the capabilities of leadership and management are very much interwoven. Managers need to ‘lead’, and leaders need to ‘manage’. That’s why this program involves the skills, mindsets, and best-practices of both successful leaders and managers.

Have a remote leadership team?
We can deliver an engaging online instructor-led leadership and management training program for teams who are geographically dispersed. Designed to be interactive over a series of practical workshop sessions we include your industry-specific examples and participant input to ensure the best learning outcomes.
We follow a similar agenda as the in-person program with adjustments made to focus on specific needs of your group, and to maximise the online experience for participants.
Need support for an individual?
It’s often the situation that an individual requires support to perform at their best in a leadership role. Maybe they’re in their first management role, or there could be significant changes or performance challenges within their team. This is where our one-to-one leadership and management coaching program can help by providing a customised, personal approach to build confidence and capability.
We discuss specific real-life challenges the participant is facing, examine obstacles, consider mindset and alternate perspectives, and explore potential solutions. Participants also benefit from access to a range of training materials we use in our management training program.
‘The Inspired Manager’ in-house training program for aspiring leaders
The Inspired Manager program is a participative learning experience designed to expose the participants to a wide range of management concepts and principles and involve them in adapting their leadership practices.
Why ‘Inspired’? Because we know that before they can inspire others, each individual must themselves be inspired to be the best they can be in their leadership and management role.
A key outcome of the program is to increase the confidence and self-awareness of leaders and managers so they are more comfortable and effective in their role, able to manage themselves and their team with a positive mindset.
There are three themes throughout the program:
- Managing Self
- Managing Others
- Managing Performance

Learning management and leadership skills requires active involvement, not just classroom time
Management is a practical, hands-on activity. To accelerate learning participants are actively involved and are expected to apply the material between sessions and discuss their experiences as the program progresses.
For the benefit of participants it is important this training becomes part of their day-to-day work, not a separate ‘training’ event that is ignored between sessions.
Who is this for?
This practical training and personal development program is structured to suit emerging managers/leaders, or mid-level managers needing a renewed focus on skill development and fresh thinking patterns, including:
- People recently promoted into a team leader or management position.
- Technical experts and professionals who lead a team.
- Subject matter experts who have moved into a management role.
- Management teams undergoing change and new challenges.
The Inspired Manager program is always tailored to suit the experience level within the group. Your requirements will be thoroughly discussed during the proposal process.
Due to the high degree of personal involvement in the program a maximum of eight participants per group is recommended. In most cases it is strongly recommended that participants are not placed in groups that contain their direct reports or their own manager. This peer-to-peer environment encourages full participation.
What happens?
Because the program is heavily oriented towards behavioural change – which occurs over time – the program is ideally based around a regular schedule of sessions, for example 2-hour sessions held every 3 weeks over 4 to 6 months.
Alternate formats
It’s understandable if it’s not always possible to get your team together on a frequent basis. Alternate timings can be considered to suit your requirements such as a two-day complete program with follow up, a one-day ‘essentials’ program, or half-day sessions scheduled on a monthly basis.
Implementation
To assist with implementation, especially after the scheduled program is finished, a buddy program may be introduced that provides a structure for personal accountability and ongoing peer support.
The Inspired Manager program includes:
- Personal assessments
- Self-development tools and resource recommendations
- Comprehensive training manual
- Reflective activities based on workplace and personal experiences
- Access to the facilitator between sessions
