Choose from blocks of 3, 6, or 11 sessions
To ensure the program is successful for your team, sessions are delivered in blocks of either 3, 6, or 11 (10 + 1 bonus) sessions. Pricing varies based on the number of participants and the block size chosen. Efficiencies and economies of scale apply to the preparation and delivery of sessions, meaning savings can be passed on to our clients as the number of participants and sessions increases.
Choose from a variety of proven relevant sales training topics
Vectis founder, Stuart Ayling, has been designing and delivering B2B sales training for over 20 years, so he is well aware of which topics make a real difference to sales performance.
Sessions 1, 2, and 3
Because there are some core fundamentals that are essential for modern B2B selling the first three sessions always cover these modules:
- Perfecting Discovery – which questions you really must ask, how to ask them using the Vectis S.O.X. methodology, and what to avoid.
- Smoothing the Sale – how to recognise potential objections or points of resistance to your solution/product, and best-practice approaches to minimise or eliminate the impact of those objections.
- Leveraging Buyer Motivation – how to recognise the real value in what you are providing that will motivate your client, and why the old approach to using Features and Benefits can backfire.
Topics for blocks of 6 and 11 sessions
For training blocks of 6 or 11 sessions, in addition to the three core modules, we can choose which topics will be most important for your team based on their existing sales knowledge, their level of experience, and current sales challenges.
Topics may include:
- Time management for sales
- Social selling
- Negotiation
- Managing online and phone meetings
- Storytelling for sales
- Communication styles
- Making initial contact
- Presentation skills
- … and more

Sales training ideal for remote sales teams
From experience we’ve seen how difficult it can be for sales leaders to get their team together for training when team members are based interstate, in regional centres, or other geographically dispersed locations.
The logistical and opportunity costs of taking the whole team out of the field (or away from their desks) can make providing quality training seem out of reach. But not any more.
MiniMastery B2B sales training is available Australia-wide and is designed to blend perfectly with your existing sales meeting or to be run as regular training sessions – without your team having to spend time and money travelling.
The outcomes have exceeded our expectations. Stuart’s program not only brought our team together but also strengthened their sales skills and knowledge in a way that aligned perfectly with our strategic goals.

Support for sales leaders
As part of the MiniMastery program we provide support for sales leaders and business owners so they can maintain the focus in between training sessions to embed the new sales behaviours and guide team members on their individual development.
Not only do team members get a handout for every session, we also provide a Sales Leader Guide for each session that clearly outlines what the sales leader can do to encourage continuous improvement for their team.

MiniMastery B2B Sales Training FAQ's
Yes, definitely. MiniMastery sessions are delivered live, online, so it’s important you have a suitably large screen and a good sound setup. We can discuss that with you beforehand. We find it’s best to either have everyone together in the same room, or have everyone online from their own location. Having some people together and some people individually online, while workable, isn’t recommended unless it’s unavoidable.
In two ways. First, the sessions are specifically designed to be short, sharp and practical. The topics, concepts, and techniques we cover have been refined, updated, and proven effective in the multitude of in-house B2B sales training sessions that Stuart Ayling has delivered over more than 18 years.
Second, the sessions are carefully designed and facilitated to hit the major points within each topic during each 45-minute session. No fluff or irrelevant theory. This maintains team engagement and avoids the information overload which can occur from training delivered over typical full-day or half-day training programs.
Even though each session is only 45-minutes, we incorporate adult learning principles and sequence the series to build upon each session to provide a solid foundation of sales skills. And support for the Sales Leader is provided to help them keep the team focused and using the concepts or techniques we cover during the training sessions.
Importantly, MiniMastery sessions are not prerecorded, and they’re not just an online PowerPoint presentation. How boring is that! Each session is facilitated live by an experienced business-to-business sales trainer and includes questions, tasks, and provocations to get everyone involved.
For small and medium-sized businesses the Sales Leader may be the business owner, CEO, General Manager, Operations Manager, or even a Sales Manager for larger teams. The Sales Leader can easily schedule these sessions to be included in regular sales team meetings, or arrange a dedicated time to hold the training sessions. We also provide a Sales Leader Guide to provide advice on how to foster continual improvement amongst the team.
Cost is always an important consideration. However sales training is an investment in future revenue, not just a cost or expense. It’s also an investment in staff development and retention.
How much is a few extra clients worth for you? What is their lifetime value (LTV) as a customer? If your business is like most we’ve worked with each new customer represents significant value to you. Not to mention the additional sales your team can obtain from existing customers.
So, what investment is required for MiniMastery sales training? The price per participant varies based on a few variables which include the number of participants per session and the size of the block of sessions (3, 6, or 11). As a guide a median investment per participant for the live training session and support materials is around $79 per session. Specific pricing will be discussed with each client based on team requirements.
When considering the investment required it’s also important to compare the cost of more traditional in-person group training that requires extra travel and accommodation expenses, as well as the opportunity cost of taking the team out of the market for the training days.
Yes. Our focus is on working in the business-to-business sector and we’ve run successful training programs for both office-based sales teams and field-based. We adjust the way we cover topics to tailor the language and examples during sessions, and the way techniques are applied, so they’re a good match for how your team works.
For example, we’re aware modern office-based B2B sales teams are usually team efforts with Sales Development Reps, Account Managers, Customer Success (onboarding) etc. working together to manage the customer acquisition process.
Whereas field-based roles are usually more independent and often have titles such as Business Development Managers, Territory Managers, Technical Sales Reps (or Technical Sales Support), and even Branch Managers or State Managers who have direct sales responsibilities as one the the ‘hats’ they wear.
Yes, definitely. MiniMastery B2B sales training is ideal for small teams whether team members are based in the same office or working remotely and can’t easily leave their region.
This includes sales teams who have members located across different geographic regions where it’s difficult to get everyone together in the same room on a regular basis. Or maybe you’re located in a regional centre in Australia where it’s difficult for you to access top-notch B2B sales training.
Contact us to discuss what will work best for your team. MiniMastery online sessions can be run using Zoom or Teams (we prefer Zoom).
It is well researched that adult learning requires a participatory process and opportunity to apply what is being learned – that is, learning by doing. Not just an information dump. By having multiple short, focused training sessions we maintain attention and engagement during the session and enable participants to concentrate on using that particular new skill, technique or approach by applying it in their day-to-day work before the next training session.
When it comes to improving sales skills, we’re really talking about behavioural change for individual team members. And a big part of that behavioural change is having continuity of training and an expectation of improvement. Without continuity it’s easy for team members to forget what was covered in a training session and for old habits to take over, or for new behaviours to never really develop.
The block of 3 sessions covers the core components to improve sales ability in a business-to-business setting. Over the three sessions the focus is on how to conduct more effective and intentional sales conversations.
The block of 6 sessions enables the team to move beyond the basic core components and develop a broader range of skills to manage themselves, create more new opportunities, or adopt more advanced selling practices such as using story telling for impact.
The block of 11 sessions (1o + 1 bonus) enables a structured annual training program to be presented, with one session being held each month or thereabouts. Over the 11 sessions we can dive more deeply into developing best-practice professional selling skills and address specific challenges your team is facing.
And it’s worth keeping in mind that based on economies of scale, as the block size increases, the average cost per participant decreases.
