Available in person and online
The idea of ‘time management’ training is misleading. Experience shows we cannot manage time; it passes at a constant rate. However we can manage our own choices. This basic philosophy – you manage choices, not time – is where this program differs from many other time management training courses.
Online instructor-led training is also available. Designed to be interactive to ensure the best learning outcomes.
Listen to Stuart Ayling explain the 3F’s behind our effective time management methodology – Focus, Filter and Finesse.
Our motto: “You manage choices, not time”
The focus of this program is to provide tools and understanding to equip participants for effective ‘self management’.
When thinking about time management it is easy to rely on various tools, digital or on paper, to help us get the right things done.
But the choice of tools is the minor part of the solution. More important is to have the right attitude and to make the right choices, regardless of which tools you use.
A values-based approach to getting more done with less stress
Whilst this program addresses tools and techniques, it also fosters personal accountability by focusing the participant on their own behaviour and choices.
The program is ideally delivered over two 4-hour sessions to encourage adoption of new techniques, tools, and behaviours. It’s interactive, upbeat, and fun.
Because this program is helping participants to change their behaviours it’s important to conduct two sessions (applying ‘spaced repetition’). The second session reviews the progress of the team to date and investigates the successes and pitfalls faced by participants.
Overall we explore the tools and personal habits necessary for time mastery including managing email, managing people and requests they make of us, and identifying company-specific best practices.

Advanced program option
The ‘advanced’ program incorporates extra role-specific time-related challenges that participants will work with through the duration of the extra sessions. Personal or group challenges will be identified and participants will apply specific strategies to those challenges between sessions. This program is ideal for improving specific self-management behaviours within your organisation.
Ongoing improvement
Our goal is to see improvements in your team. However, as you would know, even with regular focus new habits can take many weeks to form. Therefore ongoing training and attention is beneficial to encourage continued personal development.
After the sessions are completed it is strongly recommended to use periodic teleconferences or webinars, along with personal guidance, to focus on specific aspects of time management (i.e. self management) and support the change process at a personal level.
You may undertake these follow-up sessions internally, or we can facilitate the sessions for extra focus, whichever is best for your team.
